美國俄克拉荷馬州一名5歲男童堅稱自己前世是一名好萊塢演員，母親原本不信，但求證後發現，兒子所述與事實完全吻合，且內容十分詳盡，完全不似胡扯。
英國《鏡報》（The Mirror）報導，美國男童萊恩（Ryan Hammons）4歲時開始被惡夢纏身，直到5歲時他才向母親吐露秘密，表示「自己曾是另外一個人」。萊恩母親辛蒂（Cyndi）原本不信，但兒子鉅細靡遺地描述前世經歷，環遊世界、與性感女星麗塔海華絲（Rita Hayworth）合作、百老匯跳舞等事皆有提起，完全不像一個5歲兒童所能瞎掰出來的。
篤信基督教的辛蒂原本不信輪迴之說，但兒子描述之詳盡，讓她有所動搖。她半信半疑去圖書館租閱一本好萊塢紀念書冊，翻到某頁時，萊恩就指著一張相片說：「這就是我，我就是這個人」，而照片主角是1964年逝世的好萊塢臨時演員馬丁（Marty Martyn）。
兒童精神病學專家塔克博士（Dr. Jim Tucker）對萊恩的「轉世之說」感到詫異，他認為孩童不可能單憑一張照片，捏造出如此詳細的內容，且求證之下，那些內容又確實符合馬丁當時的狀況，「事件的確需要一個解釋」。
